What can you do to help, right from where you are? That was the question that came up for me a couple of weeks ago. And the answer was to empower people to get out of this crisis in better shape than they went into it.

There’s nothing for sale here, but I may well be able to help you kick out some big rocks currently blocking your path.

I love this Steve. So much wisdom and insight-packed in here, as well as exquisite care and professionalism in your use of the medium of video.

      • Steven Washer

Well, Bob was really the inspiration 🙂
Let me know if I can help.

      Hello Steve

Always you make very good awareness raising videos which make people feel good; what is needed here though is awareness and action in equal amounts at a practical, pragmatic level. Consultants have to take a long term view here and work out what is the best way they can stay central to the internal conversation clients have at the moment and where they can add value at incremental points along the way.

      • Steven Washer

Yes, Nick! So to “add value at incremental points” is a super way of describing the Content Carousel, a topic on which I have made several videos and built an entire course around. So I totally agree with you. The purpose of this video is to get the conversation started in case people have specific questions along the way. Thanks for “adding incremental value”!

Brilliant, and perfectly appropriate. We’re faced with, at most, a few weeks of enforced interruption of our over-filled, too-busy routines. That creates the perfect opportunity to prepare to accelerate quickly once this period ends. So we can either withdraw, complain and indulge in fear, OR we can use this window to prepare to launch quickly and effectively into what’s next. I’m with you, and choosing the latter. The new things we create now will help define the new reality into which we’re going to emerge shortly. And I expect it to be an amazing spring-into-summer when the release comes. I’d rather help make that happen than emerge blinking and wondering how so much changed so quickly, leaving so many trying to catch up.

      • Steven Washer

Hm. I may be over-writing these scripts. You say it beautifully in 700 fewer words. 🙂
And may your prediction on the number of weeks we have left come true…

        • Wayne Peterson

Thank you for the compliment, but you were spot on. And I appreciated the encouragement very much today. I’m choosing to pivot back to optimism, and your vlog added very useful fuel to that shift for me.

          • Steven Washer

            🙂

Thanks so much. You’ve distilled what’s been floating around in my mind. Really appreciate it – to everyone!

Seeing ourselves in the “all” as you do is immensely helpful. Thanks!

      Really inspirational!

        Thank you, Mike.

Mr. Ross and Mr. Rogers have always been great models for seeing the happy little clouds and helpers in life.

You’re a wonderful helper, Steve. Thank you.

      • Steven Washer

I have excellent role models, but thank you! 🙂

Thank you, Steve. Because of your instructional and motivational videos on YouTube and your courses on Udemy, which I am 3/4 way through, I have my green screen studio set up. I am on a six week challenge to improve my video skills each week, with accountability to a couple friends. I will be ready by July 1st, at the latest, to post some videos. I appreciate you. Maybe tell us how we can “engage” with you once we feel like we a ready to take it to the next level. Consulting, Master Mind Group, or what do you make available? Thank you!

Glad you hear your plans are coming to life! To address your question, I’ve added the Resources page back into the menu. These are many of the ways I work with people in small groups and individually.

        • Tom Hailey

Steve…thank you for sharing that impressive Resources page. That is exactly what I have been looking for.

My plan is to finish the free courses and then take two of those premium courses. I can take the two I need the most for under $1,000 which is amazing.

I will be back to you soon and thank you for what you do.

Wonderful presentation. I will share this with my students (who are now online). Though we may be lightyears ahead of other professionals who must make this (temporary?) change to this brave new world, we still have so much to learn. Life is a living experience!
      Thank you.

I was just speaking with a client who teaches law. He is not at all certain that the standard model of sitting in a classroom is ever quite going to go back to the way it was, and that that is possibly a good thing. I think many are showing that one can learn an awful lot online and have a rich life.

Steve: Once again, you have provided us viewers, and through us, the rest of the world, with a very positive and healthy way by which to view this global “reset” of our lives! I very much appreciate the positive nature of your videos. From a technical perspective (though I’m certainly a “newbie”), this video looks great; the lighting is just right (why doesn’t that surprise me?); and the clarity is crystal; I can almost reach through the screen and shake your hand in thanks. I’m very honored to be one of your students. Your positivity and your technical expertise continue to meld perfectly to make you a true VISIBLE AUTHORITY for the rest of us. Indeed, your elegantly enlightening viewpoint and the manner by which you share it with us spreads throughout the world even more efficiently than some virus, becoming more than a worthy adversary. And, long after this virus is vanquished, your message will remain, and thrive. Thank you, sir!

      • Steven Washer

Thank you, Jay. I’m (almost) speechless 🙂
But soon, when your setup is complete, your authority presence will be out in this old hurting world quite often, felt viscerally, heard loud and clear and bringing positive changes!

This is our time – to face our innate fears and really discern which ones are real vs illusory. This is our time to introspect and gather our support from each other, and experiment with resilience by taking creative actions. This is the happy outcome of creativity. What a wonderful mentor, colleague and teacher you are to me, so honored to be on the same page with you.

      • Steve

Thank you, Anjali. A pleasure to be here with you.
