If my research on YouTube is any indication, most people decided yes or no about this years ago.

A pity. Because there’s much more to be said about the whole “to read or not to read” question.

All my videos are constructed on nothing but a green cloth, an inexpensive video camera, and a monitor with scrolling text.

But I rarely talk about that monitor outside our Inner Circle, and I think it’s time to get into the details.

You may find them surprising…

I’m pretty sure that mastering this skill could be of benefit to a LOT of people.

Again, Thanks…. Steve, for being such an inspiration.
You always show me new ways and ideas I can use to make my videos and web sites better….and more effective.

As someone who all too often “fights” with the teleprompter…any insights into this area are always helpful. I look forward to more on this subject.

      Wouldn’t leave home without it!

Which teleprompter do I use? Inexpensive but efficient for a starter?

Next week’s video should answer that question, as there’s more to consider than I can put in a single comment. 🙂

You are always an inspiration to me….Thank you. I am ready to shorten my time shooting videos and saying exactly what I want to say, the first time. I am eagerly awaiting the next video to hear about what to look for in a teleprompter.

I read or heard here somewhere that you only use a green screen. More detail, please?

It’s 99% true that I always use greenscreen. There’s a bit more to using it if you want it to look right. If you’re a free member of Visible Authority, you have access to an entire course on using greenscreen. You can sign up here: https://visibleauthority.com/get-greenscreen-success/

I use a teleprompter app on a tablet positioned directly below the camera. This means I must stand back about 5 ft to avoid appearing like I am not looking at the camera (viewer). I would prefer to use a prompter that allows the camera to be positioned behind the words which would allow me to stand much closer. Not looking to spend that much money though.

I’m using the Caddie Buddy with the pro app and subscription extension. This gives me through-the-lens prompting with my iPad and remote start stop control from my cell phone. My only issue is that I also control my camera via my cell phone and every time I switch between apps, I have to reconnect to the device. I am very interested in this series of videos Steve, because you look so natural on your videos and I would like to learn what I need to practice to approach that level of “authority.” I have found that now that I have passed the 50-year milestone, memorizing a 5-minute script is sadly at the limit of my ability. I tried it once, but I looked even worse than I do reading from a prompter because I was so focused on recall.
