Everyone talks about how important attraction is, but what exactly are we attracting people to?
This is an important question.

It’s important because we tend to look at attraction in only one dimension.
There’s more to this than meets the eye.

In fact, it’s so important, it’s one of our Pillar concepts.
There are 4 of them. And when you get all 4, everything becomes easier.

Welcome to AUTHORITY, Step 1 in changing the way you’ll be seen online from now on.

How even from the beginning of your videos, you can demonstrate authority expertise

As always, Steven, great content. You are truly an authority. Over the past 16 months, I’ve enjoyed and look forward to your emails, videos, and post. Thanks for all of the work you put into your work and as always, keep up the good work!

      • Steven

Thank you, David! It is work, but it’s also fun. 🙂

    • Cecil

      I especially like:
‘Authority: A Servant Who Everyone Acknowledges As a Master’.

To many gurus have the mindset of:
‘It is my way, or the highway’.

      • Steven

Hm. You’ve now officially joined the remnant, Cecil!

    • Mia Sherwood Landau

Big cheese… you are so right! But, sadly, it’s more like cheese heads, those ridiculous hats Wisconsin fans wear at football games. The frenzy for attention and attraction to build authority has begun to wear at my patience lately, and it’s backfiring. Instead of attracting me it’s repelling me. This is a very classy video that shows as well as tells about true authority, Steven. Nicely done. 100% cheese free!

      • Steven

Thank you, Mia! Yes, it is usually preferable to demonstrate rather than loudly proclaim.

    • Nancy

Steve, I SOOO agree. And this is the first time I’ve heard anyone of authority articulate these matters, which have bugged me for a while.

Your customer base must have a lot of us “oldies,” since what you are speaking about can only really be understood by those of accumulated decades.

It’s the YOUNG and pumped ones that are doing the huge marketing pushes, modeling and promoting the external authority you speak about.

My big concern is that these success studs are presenting themselves and their lifestyles as the primary source of authority to their impressionable, young and hungry-for-same customer masses. They are becoming billionaires doing it. It’s an epidemic, reflected in the major launches at this time, including the most trendy ones. It’s a very effective (though to me, unfortunate) values training for a generation of younger people.

So that’s my rant! Thank you so much for this video pointing to, and supporting, the inner aspect of authority.

      • Steven

Thank you for your “rant”, Nancy!
I’m sure there are one or two others who share a similar POV. 🙂

Steven, this struck me as profound. “Whenever someone senses that you’re free they’ll want whatever it is that made you free.” May not be the exact quote but it’s what landed for me. It’s inspired some content ideas and I’ll definitely give you credit. Was that an entirely Washer original? Let me know as I may use it as a quote.

What’s amazing is that while teaching us about video, you’re delivering deep and meaningful information about life and leadership.

      Great stuff man.

      • Steven

Thanks for your kind words, Pete. Yes, it’s OK to attribute the quote as you wish.
And thank you for asking. 🙂

    • Jeff

You know Steven, you are so right. When we do what we enjoy and we are good at, it does appear easy. The challenge sometimes, doing what one loves and it’s easy, is to convert this skill into a profitable lifestyle. I look forward to reading or watching a future video on this from you. Thanks, Steven.

      • Steven Washer

You pretty much read my mind, Jeff. The conversion piece will be along soon. 🙂

Master Steve: Your comment about being ‘free’ gives me a new perspective on my efforts to find and help wounded warriors learn to trade e-minis; the success I enjoy from my personal trading lets me overlook the discouragement I’ve experienced trying to reach and help some of our wounded warriors. Contacted a couple ‘Wounded Warrior Funds’ asking their help in passing along my offer of free coaching help, helping them develop skills — that even with their severe physical handicaps — they could again become the breadwinner for their families. But, the ‘Funds’ I talked to seemed uninterested in anything that wasn’t encouraging the public to donate dollars to our wounded warriors. Oh, well.

That’s where the ‘free feeling’ you spoke of comes in for me: I’m happy just to enjoy my total freedom each day with what e-mini trading gives me.
BTW…. haven’t heard from you for some time about your own e-mini progress. I know how much time and effort you are putting into your expanded Visible Authority service. Maybe you’re finding it hard to do both? I’m feeling so ‘free’ that I’m seriously thinking of just dropping my web sites and book effort and fully enjoying all of the free time it would give me. I’m making some videos for those few close friends, illustrating my techniques now that work so well. I’ll let you know when I have them finished (utilizing all of the great ideas you are teaching). You are on my ‘close friends’ list.

      Steve,
You are indeed the smooth authority. Your use of words fascinates me.

    • John

Steve, Wow is all that I can say. Not only the message but the delivery. Being a former tv news and weather personality I never got close to that level of peace, authority and confidence. After leaving the news business about 16-years ago, I since opened a very reputable and highly reviewed home-improvement company in my marketplace. Having “on camera” experience and some equipment, you have inspired me to knock off the dust and get back into video. So to speak. Not on tv mind you, but using video to establish myself as the “authority” in my market. And though I have several competitors, there is absolutely no one, including myself, who has established themselves as that “go to person”. I want to change that. And I want your help to do it the right way. I should have my small studio up and going by the end of this month. I am waiting to get the 3-part lesson on greenscreen you are sending me. In the meantime, the 4-pillars will be my starting place. I need you! My marketplace needs an authority presence! Can’t wait to start this journey with you.

      Mr. Washer
Thank you so very much for your service. I have saved and watch your videos (25 to date) every morning when I’m at the gym doing my morning cardio on the treadmill. They help me refocus and set-up my thought processes for the day. I can hardly wait for episode 2 because I really need to learn more about how to develop the Authority through ATTRACTION that you’re talking about.
At the age of 70 I’m just beginning to live as I’m now learning so much about being very pro-active in the areas of my health, thoughts and life choices, and your information is coming to me at such an appropriate time. Thank you so so much.
I’m very impressed with your delivery and how you exude the very authority you are teaching about. You are in my mind most definitely the AUTHORITY, no question about it. Your line of thinking is easy to grasp because it makes logical sense, and to me it sounds like it has some very Biblical principals, which I definitely appreciate.
Again, not to belabour the point, but thank you!

      • Steven Washer

Thank you for the kind words, and yes, there’s much more to come.
So honored to be on your treadmill, James. 🙂

    • Gavrila

      Thank you, Steve,
      I respect you.

    • Jay Creighton

      Hello Steve:
It’s now May 2020 and our situation is quite different than it was in September 2016, when you first published this great video. While our situation is different, your message is more timely than ever. I thank you for sending it out again to those of us who’ve recently joined with you and learn from you. I’m now going to view Part 2 of this series.
      Thank you again.
      Jay Creighton

      • Steven Washer

I hope it gives you some ideas about how to really reach those you’re about to be speaking to!

    • Seth Sherwood

      Hello Steve,
Funny how I stumbled on our videos. No accidents in life.
Thank you for your words of wisdom. You are Yoda.
Happy Father’s Day if you’re a father. I guess you’re a father of visible authority.

      All the best,
      Seth

      • Steven Washer

Thank you, Seth! You can nearly always be the Yoda to someone if you like. 🙂

    • Meral Ibrahim

I don’t know what to say because everyone has already said it. Again, thank you for the elegant content, (so refreshing and calming after binge watching all these loud, fast paced 20 and 30 year olds pulling up in a red sports car in the driveway of a mansion). Hardly an authority for me to honor, at my age of 65.

I feel blessed to have found you. Meral

    • Naim Abdul-Ali

Thank you Steve for the information you gave it is very helpful

    • Patrick

Excellent video and an interesting and though-provoking perspective. Makes a lot of sense
      Thank you Steve

    • Carol Webster

The relevance of your content is timeless. Thank you for showing me by example what is possible.

    • Gary Ivey

You are so right Steven. What a refreshing video. Cheers!

      • Steven Washer

        Cheers, Gary!

    • Bianca Harrison

Thanks for finally someone who got it to the point what I am knowing since I don’t know when and am also teaching to singers. I just so enjoyed your video, you are shining it out what or who you really are and that is invincible, it simply is. This is empowerment itself, it does not need any posing! ♥️☀️

    • Fernando

You are a true mentor, Steven, doing the real thing and teaching from the inside, creating a great experience.
Thank you for the lessons with great value and content.
