Deep in the mystery of the Tao of Video, you will find a gate to greatness that is subtle and wonderful.

Let’s explore it together.

Yes, I’m back. πŸ™‚

This past year a number of people asked where I’d shuffled off to; some wondered if I’d shuffled off this mortal coil.

That’s what happens when you stop marketing. Fortunately it had but a small effect on my business because of what I had done in the past.

Every day the YouTube channel lit up with questions and comments. I still met with clients every week, and they have been experiencing growth and success.

Which brings us to today…

I love helping coaches, consultants and service providers become Visible Authorities. And contrary to popular opinion, it’s mostly an inside job.

Video, podcasts, articles, blogs…all of it is great, and none of it will help if you don’t accept all of who you are and how powerful you really are. It’s a strange world we live in where practically no one has time for that.

Nowhere does this lack of awareness show up more than when you try to do video. So today we begin a series that takes us from the inside out with every episode.

This is not the usual “funnel mechanics” sort of thing, but if you let it, it is the exact approach that will lead you to your source of personal power, which will make all those other tactics effective.

Each episode is a minute or under, since these concepts can seem somewhat unfamiliar to the brain, which wants everything pre-digested. But your soul has no need for that; in fact, that would be useless.

Instead, we’ll go straight to the heart of the matter, which is shining a light on the casual horror that’s ever present in the “Uber Marketer” and the subtle beauty and power of “draw water, chop wood”.

I hope you find it helpful.

Delighted to see you in my IN box this morning. Hope all who visit your web site see and realize the value of the amazing library of very helpful information you’ve put together over the years.

I hope this doesn’t mean you are pulling back on your e-mini trading. 2017 was a fabulous year for e-mini trading. 2018 promises to be even better.

Your video library has inspired me to create something similar for those who look to me for help in learning to trade. I’ve had a blog address for years but have never built anything around it. You inspire me that a series of short videos…taking the viewer step-by-step could be very effective….and, probably well received.

Here’s to your continued success…and thanks a million Steve for all the effort, time and yes, love you’ve put into helping us. Happy New Year.

      • Steven Washer

Thanks for dropping by, Mel. Your idea could work if you break things down bit by bit, but make it clear that it’s not pie in the sky. πŸ™‚

    • Jeff

GreT to see you back! You look and sound better than ever. This first video is a bit mysterious and look forward to seeing how this unfolds?
Is this message one of β€œsee what everyone else is doing and don’t do it”? Will stay tuned.
Thanks Steven for reappearing in my inbox!

      • Steven Washer

Hi Jeff! Thanks for your question. In a way it is contrarian. I have found it good to check in with yourself to make sure you aren’t handing the reins over to someone else out of need. For some reason that is seen as contrarian. And yes, my intention is to link these videos to action steps…shortly.

    • Richard Mowrey

Also, glad to have new a communication from you. I trust you will prompt better actions by a lot of us in this year.

      • Steven Washer

Thank you, Richard! I’ll do my best to cajole, wheedle, prompt and encourage, but never scold. πŸ™‚

    • Julie Silfverberg

Steve, glad to see you didn’t go to that great cutting room in the sky!

Looking forward to see more videos from you. Do we need to sit crosslegged on the floor while we watch? Asking for a friend.

      • Steven Washer

LOL! Yes, Paul, your robes, uh, I mean your friend’s robes, are in the mail!

    • Mia Sherwood Landau

So, yes, I missed your sane (increasinly rare these days), generous, honest and excellent ideas and productions, Steven. I’m glad you had time to jump back in and blog. Thanks for being there!

      • Steven Washer

Thank you, Mia! Not going anywhere. Part II is for as long as I can press the little red button…

    • Shama

I see you spent the last year edging closer to enlightenment. Maybe some of it will rub off on me. πŸ™‚

      • Steven Washer

I suspect that being in Thailand you are a smidge closer to the source of all things delivered.

    • Violet van Hees

Hi Steve – good to “see” you again! I sense something significant has shifted inside you and landed differently for you. I look forward to what unfolds from here πŸ™‚

      Violet

      • Steven Washer

Good to see you too, Violet! The other stuff was fun and all, but bereft compared to having these conversations. So for better or worse, you can expect more…a lot more πŸ™‚

    • Alida

Glad you’re back! And I love the direction you’re going with a spiritual/personal growth approach to reaching people. It resonates with me. πŸ™‚

      • Steven Washer

That’s so good to hear, considering the transformation your videos went through. How good it would be if more people had your drive to persevere until that breakthrough happens for them, too. And in your case, it didn’t take that long!

        • Alida

          You’re too kind! πŸ™‚

Working with you really transformed my videos and my confidence to work in that medium. Video has become a major tool to reach my audience.

Welcome back, or more accurately glad to see our paths are crossing once again.
Intrigued to see what you’ve been working on and what you have in store for us this year.

I am glad you are back. I assumed I some how got bumped off your list and was thinking of contacting you – love this video and the Tao is one of my favorite philosophies.

Big hug and know 2018 will be amazing!!!

      Melinda

      • Steven Washer

Hi Melinda! Happy New Year! This is like a party. I’m going to run out and get another Malbec. And then back to the camera. Oh…well maybe not in that order.

    • Stephanie Philp

Welcome back Steven! And Happy New year. I enjoyed the video. If you’re going against the ‘turn up the pain’ mentality that so many marketers endorse – and which I hate – I’ll be intrigued! πŸ˜‰

      • Steven Washer

I am, and perhaps you will. πŸ˜‰

    • Sarah

Great to see you back in 2018 Steve! I look forward to the next instalment – and best wishes to you for this year, and beyond.

    • Randy

Thanks for the top quality videos! I am new to your resources. Is there a place where you describe the practical steps and equipment required to create a quality video product? Especially what equipment is necessary to put a picture or graphic as your backdrop? Thanks again.
