dayafter-225…Good to remember, especially when the night before is so dark.

As I foolishly promised, here’s the follow-up to yesterday’s pre-op “before” video. Maybe instead ofย “foolish”, I should have said “in faith” or something. Well, you be the judge.

Still iPhoning it in, by the way…

Thanks, guys. The BrainyVideo Show is once again cleared for take-off…

There’s nothing like an experience like this to remind us of our powerlessness. Continue to heal.

    • Morris

By the way looking forward to hearing more of what you have to say… since you can.

    • Roger

      Hey Steven,

Great to see and hear you up and talking the next day! When you first promised a video the next day, I half expected to see a silent movie!

Godspeed to you and I hope your recovery is more full than you, or anyone else could’ve expected.

Looking forward to hearing more of your wit and wisdom in the future, so take care!

    • James

    • Grace

Awesome! So happy to see that things have improved for you!

    • Michelle Twohig

Yay! Remarkable difference, huge relief and hope you can take the time to rest your voice so the “eating part” can be attended to. There are better ways to fit back into one’s “skinny jeans”!

Oh, and great job with the ear worm…now I can’t get rid of “there’s got to be a morning after…”

      Take care of yourself.

    • Zander Townend

So glad to hear you with more of your voice intact. I just watched both videos today, so I’m of course very happy to hear / see the improvement. Prayers for you, Steve…

    • Nancy

Steve, at the risk of sounding superficial, you look YEARS younger today.
That’s a really comprehensive result from throat surgery! It indicates
that everything in you, in the surgeon and his/her assistants in the OR,
and in your surround (near and far) were all aligned. Great to hear
your gentle and thankful voice today!

      • Steven Washer

It might have been the substance they injected. When the nurse was prepping, she held it gingerly in her hands and said in an almost worshipful tone “and here’s the magic box.”

The point? I hear it’s often used in plastic surgery.

    • Alan Cox

      Hi Steve,

I watched your pre-op video and, although I didn’t post my thoughts I was thinking about you a lot. I am thrilled that you are on the road to recovery.

And I don’t think you shared too much with the first video. It moved me and that is a good thing.

Looking forward to seeing more of your fantastic videos and awesome advice.

      Alan from Perth Australia.

    • David Schaefer

    • Amelia

Yay! Yay! Yay! I was so relieved when you started speaking. It was so beautiful to watch yesterday’s video and now todays. You are surrounded by angels : ) Take care xx

    • Paul

      Damn and double damn!!

Here I was practicing your deep gravelly voice so I could do all your voice overs and you could do your Marcel Marceau lip sync to it but alas, I’ll never get to be the voice of Steve Washer.

Just kidding of course, so happy for you Stevie Wonder ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Don

Well there was lots of asking and praying yesterday – so what else can we do but lots of thanking today! And I’m so pleased that you’re making such good progress.

Keep on progressing, dear Steve, by taking plenty of R&R, so your resources are available to do the healing.

      Blessings.

    • Steve

This is incredibly encouraging. Thank you.
Glad you’ve found insights here worth considering.
      Expect more…

    • Lucien

      Hi Steve

Glad to see that the surgery went well. In the first few moments of this video I thought you were not going to speak and like Amelia was relieved to finally hear your voice. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

      • Steve

I’m glad that you and Amelia mentioned that. I wanted to demonstrate a simple way of creating suspense in a video. Since everyone knew the score going in, not speaking initially was a way of raising the suspense, which also makes the video more fun.

There was one other important lesson which no one has commented on yet, but I’ll talk about that another time. Yes, talk. Wow. It’s so nice to be able to write that…

    • Lisa

!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! You sound like yourself again!!!!

    • Judy Jackson

Two vocal cords, one vocal cord… sound great both ways. And this new voice is very hypnotizing, seductive… could be a very good thing in marketing… really keeps your attention for listening to stories. Will be very interesting ‘hearing’ updates of your voice as you heal… keep ’em coming.

    • guy

      Steve:

You look great. Things are going up from here my friend.

    • Shirley Washer

This was a very wonderful page to see this morning. Thankful prayers keep going. Mom
